Auto detailing goes beyond a wash: a full detail typically includes clay bar decontamination, machine polishing to remove swirl marks, a sealant or wax, and a deep interior clean with shampooed carpets and conditioned leather. Detail shops price by vehicle size and condition, and a full interior and exterior detail takes most of a day. Ceramic coatings are a hardened liquid layer applied after paint correction that lasts years rather than weeks and makes washing easier; paint protection film (PPF, or clear bra) is a self-healing urethane wrap that stops rock chips on the hood, bumper and mirrors. Window tint shops apply dyed, carbon or ceramic film to cut heat and glare, subject to each state's visible light transmission limits.

Newton is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Newton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I cannot recommend AVI based on my experience. I brought my vehicle to AVI after gasoline contaminated the interior. I accepted AVI’s written estimate and paid in full because I understood the project would involve a comprehensive restoration of the contaminated interior. The invoice reflected that understanding. It included replacement carpeting, carpet removal and installation, and dedicated labor for that work. A final detailing or interior cleaning would naturally be part of a completed restoration, but it was never presented as the primary solution or a substitute for replacing gasoline-contaminated materials. After I paid, the discussion changed. AVI emailed me stating, “I also consulted with our upholsterer, who noted that molding universal carpet is a very time-consuming process.” I was also told replacement carpet was an issue. Basel said we could get something cheap from china. He wasn’t hearing me that we didn’t need to go that route. Rather than accepting that explanation, I researched the project myself and identified automotive restoration materials through Summit Racing (they explained it well on what was needed) that could be used. Very impressed with the customer service and overall performance of AVI Boston. They were recommended to me by Soul performance products to install a performance exhaust in my 911. I spoke with Jon and he coordinated the entire install as well as a soft Tronics tune to the ECU. When I arrived, John and Josh took the car right in and completed the work quickly and it came in under the estimate. Super impressed with the entire operation. I highly recommend them.

Best in the business. Get both vehicles detailed here semi-annually. AVI restores them to a showroom shine, every time. These cars aren’t babied, they are my daily drivers with a young and active family. For this dad, AVI’s work restores my humanity.

Safi and everyone working at AVI were great! I had XPEL Ultimate installed on my Porsche and it looks great (can’t even tell it’s there). Service was fast, price was great and staff was super friendly. I’m considering getting some other enhancements done to my car; if I do I will definitely be doing here. I highly recommend them. A++!
